What is this?
The Days Between Dates tool counts the number of calendar days separating two dates, including weekends and holidays. It is the quickest way to answer questions like how many days until a wedding, how many days of holiday entitlement remain between two dates, or how long an invoice has been outstanding.
Because it counts every calendar day rather than working days only, it suits deadline tracking, subscription billing checks, medication schedules, and any context where every day counts equally. If you need business days excluding weekends, count the result here and subtract weekends manually, or use the Date Difference Calculator for a broader unit breakdown.
The optional Include End Date switch controls a common counting convention. Without it, the tool returns the gap between the dates, so 1 March to 2 March counts as 1 day. With it, the final day is included, which is what you want when booking hotel nights or marking a countdown that includes today. A negative result simply tells you the second date falls before the first.
Everything is computed in your browser with standard date arithmetic, and leap years are handled automatically, so a range spanning 29 February is counted correctly.
